DUNSTAN DESIGNS FEATURED ON HGTV
West Palm Beach, FL (Dec. 7, 2008) — Dunstan Designs President Christopher Dunstan and his wife, journalist Aime Dunstan, made a star appearance on the Dec. 7, 2008, episode of HGTV's "My House is Worth What?" The program, which evaluates residential real estate values across the United States, is hosted by West Palm Beach's own Kendra Todd.
The Dunstans' home was built in 1953 and is located in West Palm Beach's Flamingo Park Historic District. Illustrated Properties real estate agent Patti Ceravola appeared on the episode to aid in the home's appraisal and touted the property's luxurious landscaping as one of the most valuable features of the home.
"The curb appeal is wonderful — great landscaping out front!" said Ceravolo, echoed by Host Kendra Todd: "Also, you took that curb appeal and brought it into the back yard. Your back yard is going to be one of the home's main selling features."
Christopher Dunstan, who suggests that landscaping be budgeted at about 5-10 percent of the value of a residence, was pleased with the results.
"It is important to consider curb appeal in any real estate market, and landscaping is one of the biggest factors in the outward appearance of any home," said Dunstan. "I know our investment will pay off when we do decide to move into a larger home, and I hope viewers who intend to sell their homes in the near future will learn from this program."
